Verdict

This is a competitive end to the afternoon's card in which every one of the seven runners has claims and what can only be a tentative choice goes to the Willie Jarvis-trained ORIENTAL SCOT, who can open his account on his reappearance back on turf, with the main dangers rated as Irish Jugger and Primary Colors. The Clive Cox-trained colt was well held on his return in a Newbury maiden but may do better now racing in a handicap for the first time. Marco Botti's Rainbow Six disappointed on his handicap debut at Kempton last time, while Sandy Shaw looks to be going the right way judged by his latest start at Ffos Las and has to be considered. Chocolate Cookie has been well held in both starts since winning a Lingfield claimer, while Decree Absolute makes limited appeal first time out this term. Rod Millman's Irish Jugger is bred to improve for stepping up to this trip and he rates the main danger to Oriental Scot, who can make a winning return.
