    Verdict

Admiral Compton is put forward as the confident choice here and he is taken to score at the main expense of Thistle, Baboosh and Speed Racer. The selection from the Ed Vaughan yard ran well when second behind Three Secrets over 7 furlongs at Warwick last time and with the step up to a mile sure to suit he is taken to score. Baboosh rates the main danger as she has shown a fair level of form to date, but she will need to improve from her last run to beat our selection. Thistle was second behind Backgammon at Newcastle last time, but he had the race run to suit that day and he may not get things all his own way here. Speed Racer has shown a fair level of form but looks one of the more exposed runners in the field so is worth taking on, and for the winner we return to Admiral Compton.
