      Verdict

Guardini beat Teletext in a Group 3 at Chantilly in June but ran no sort of race behind Gallante in the Grand Prix De Paris here the following month when Teletext reversed that earlier form in finishing third. Along with Guardini, Andre Fabre's charge is one of three currently holding an entry in the Arc. The other is Ectot but this will be his first try beyond a mile and his first run since the spring, though he did beat Elliptique here a year ago and will have a pace-maker today. ADELAIDE only found subsequent King George fourth Eagle Top too good on his one previous try over this trip at Royal Ascot and went on to win the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington. A repeat of that form will make the Coolmore colt hard to beat.
