In depth

Verdict

Xaarcet was due to have his first run for Gordon Elliott here yesterday but could be well treated over fences at present. Bouggietopieces was also scheduled to run here yesterday and we much prefer stable companion RUSSIAN REGENT, who was only headed on the run-in when second to Vesperal Dream in a better race over course and distance last month. Strobe and Peachey Moment were second and third in this last year and the former won this in 2013, though is difficult to catch right - the latter hasn't raced since September. Humphrey Bee has been out of action for exactly a year but Kai Broon won at Hexham in May and is preferred to course specialist Badged.
