      Verdict

      MCGOWAN’S PASS (NAP) hasn’t won since January 2020 but this looks a good chance for the 12-year-old to put the record straight after a string of solid performances this year. Cirque Royal will have needed his run at Downpatrick in June but Garde Des Champs has changed stables and been raised 10lb since an easy win over course and distance in June with Well Planted weighted to reverse earlier form at the track. Harel Du Marais showed promise last autumn but has disappointed this year.
