Verdict

Endeavor makes appeal on formbook inspection but there's a real concern about his record at this venue where he's run disappointingly on all seven starts over the last couple of years and therefore is reluctantly passed over. Kumbeshwar appears handicapped to the hilt and the winning streak of Theflyingportrait was emphatically halted by the assessor last time and he may require some leniency now. Muwalla needs to improve despite receiving weight all round which leaves Upsanddowns and WOT A SHOT. The former remains relatively inexperienced over larger obstacles so the Nicky Richards inmate gets the vote on the back of some competitive recent performances allied to a solid course record and feasible handicap mark.
