In depth

Verdict

A wide open bumper rounds off the card and as usual the market will prove all important but the principals look to be Four Melons, Baffling Secret and Trisons Star and we will take a chance on Baffling Secret. The selection is a well bred French import that has been showing up well at home he hails from a yard that knows the time of day in these events and he will not need to be anything special to win on his debut. Four Melons rates the main danger is a gelding By Anshan from the same yard aand his dam has bred to hurdle winners so he is worth noting in the market in comparison to the selection. Trisons Star was a good second on his debut behind Wild Cane Ridge and he is sure to have come on for the run but that was on soft ground and he may not be as effective on this faster surface. Of the remainder Maybe She Will would have a chance on her winning form but she is a bit of a madam and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Baffling Secret.
