In depth

Verdict

Bertie Milan is becoming a standing dish in this race. He won it in 2014 and was fourth last year and also scored at the track in September, though hasn't raced since. Presented went close over 3m here on Wednesday and worth a market check if turned out again quickly. Nigel Twiston-Davies sent out last year's winner so Winged Crusader is interesting and Lucinda Russell will have high hopes for Settledoutofcourt and Itstimeforapint. Double Whammy won over 2m5f at Wetherby recently but stays further and won’t mind the ground. NAKADAM (NAP) had Harry The Viking back in third when successful at Kelso 11 days ago. Mike Smith's youngster appeared to have plenty up his sleeve that day and can shrug off a 7lb penalty.
