In depth

Verdict

Pickamix never looked comfortable when a hot favourite at Market Rasen last month and weakened quickly once headed. He’s not really built on earlier promise and is conceding weight all round here. More Buck's is well treated on past form and has left Paul Nicholls to join Peter Bowen. It would be no surprise to see him back in the winner’s enclosure soon while Blue Kascade owes connections nothing and won here last month. Minella Scamp doesn’t look an easy ride but was much improved when tackling good going at Towcester and 3m may be his trip nowadays. THE CLOCK LEARY should now be approaching peak fitness. He won off a higher mark around here last summer and a step back up in distance is in his favour. Always On The Run continues to frustrate and disappoint in equal measures.
