In depth

Verdict

A wide open affair in which many can be given chances on there best form but the main protagonists include Great Crusader, Snowmore, Wagner and Lord Of Illusion but a chance is taken on Minivet. The gelding from the Tim Easterby yard won in game style when defeating Plenty Courage staying on well close home. If he sees out the trip he will be hard to beat. Great Crusader won well at the course two days ago however he may struggle now he has risen in the weights again in this more competitive affair. Lord Of Illusion was a fair second to the in form Delitia last time out and a reproduction of that effort would give him definite place claims. Wagner is another from a top yard who may be suited by the step up in trip and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected. Snowmore has also been in fair form of late and goes well on the ground, but his style of running suggests he may struggle to see out this trip. Of the remainder What A Wonder is from a shrewd yard and any market confidence should be noted.
