In depth

Verdict

No less than four Irish raiders in opposition, although Home Fire has shown promise on both starts without really suggesting he'll be good enough to keep the prize at home. A decent case can be argued for all of the remainder in what looks a tight contest but MR JACKMAN displayed some useful form when trained by Gordon Elliott and produced a decent effort on a second start for the McConnell team last time at Downpatrick. Kevin Brogan is value for his 5lb claim and that may just make the difference here. Dakota Beat can be considered rather disappointing to date but ran well enough last time and is still respected along with the promising Ailie Rose.
