Verdict

Barrys Jack has proved very hard to place and didn’t show much in point-to-points earlier in his career. However, he has his ground and shouldn’t be far away with a clear round. The mare HOPE’S WISHES also handles the mud and she doesn’t look badly treated on the pick of her hurdles form so gets the nod, though Well Above Par is another who goes on heavy and he’s less exposed than his rivals. Backinthesaddle is no forlorn hope either but it’s more difficult to make a case for Monbeg Cave.
