In depth

Verdict

GARDINERS HILL goes from strength to strength over fences and is worth sticking with as he bids for a four-timer. He shrugged off a 14lb rise in the weights to win at Hereford last week and can defy a penalty in this. Miss Oscarose was left clear a couple of fences out to win over track and trip in December. She’s been raised only 2lb but is upped in class and Brice Canyon makes more appeal having returned a losing favourite in this grade when third at Market Rasen. La Paimpolaise is not badly treated on his hurdling form as she goes chasing for the first time and is preferred to Clonusker, who came a cropper over these fences on his recent chasing bow.
