Verdict

WINNING SPARK has found only one too good on his last couple of starts over C&D and is given another chance to get it right today and open his account. Battlecat will be no pushover, however, as he's shown enough over timber to suggest he can win at this level including when second at Newton Abbot on his latest start. Turn Over Sivola makes his hurdling bow on the back of a decent third in a bumper at Chepstow and may be in the mix along with The Mumper. Ilewin Dundee has gone close in bumpers but gets first time blinkers here having been well beaten on his first start over timber.
