Verdict

NINO COCHISE makes plenty of appeal in the opener with Byblos and Moment Present the others to note. A winner of a Sandown hurdle, he disappointed at the weekend at Doncaster but with Tony McCoy booked and the majority of the decent opposition defecting, we will make him our tentative recommendation. Byblos showed a modicum of ability for Brian Meehan on the flat and as a middle distance sort, he really should be able to get the two miles. Moment Present is the most intriguing of the debutants. Charlie Mann's charge was a winner on the flat in France and is just the sort that the trainer tends to specialise with nowadays. Karmei was slung out of the John Hills stable and showed little for his new trainer on debut. Love And Glory did not build upon an exceptional first start over hurdles but his yard are in good nick at present and any market move must be followed. Not the strongest of races and Nino Cochise is our pick.
