Verdict

Kalaya hinted at ability last season without pulling up any trees. Plenty Of Butty travelled strongly and was a cosy winner at Newton Abbot. He has been raised 7lb for that, however, and has already run 11 times over timber. By comparison, ANGEL’S WHISPER is having just her third run under NH Rules. She’s won twice on the Flat this year and had Amaretto well behind when second at Southwell in August so has strong claims making her handicap debut as long as the going doesn’t deteriorate. Global Wonder was a disappointing co-favourite at Exeter after finishing third at Uttoxeter but this won’t take much winning.
