In depth

Verdict

Sir Bathwick has the experience edge over Rio Bravo and Supreme Huntress and is expected to be hard to master in this company. Supreme Huntress is a well bred gelding that should pay his way before too long. However, he did hang quite badly on his debut at Worcester and created the impression that he may need more time. Rio Bravo won two Irish points in a facile manner and can obviously be relied upon to know what to do at his obstacles. This is an ordinary introduction to racing under rules and he is sure to make a bold bid. However. Sir Bathwick made progress with each outing last season and it is his experience of hurdling that makes him the most appealing betting proposition on this occasion.
