      Verdict

Gold Show won this a year ago but didn't record another victory and is 3lb lower. Cathedral has taken a long time to warm up and was having his 14th start when making most for an impressive victory at Wolverhampton. A 6lb penalty makes this more difficult but Ryan More is a positive booking and a quick double looks more than a possibility. However, POETIC VERSE was in superb form at this time a year ago completing a hat-trick and not surprisingly shooting up the weights. She hasn't won since and is now on a lower mark than her latest success so looks the one to be on. High Office dropped down to this trip for the first time since 2010 at Doncaster last month and did very well to chase home Dark Ruler. He'll be fancied to go one better but Mash Potato shot up the weights after his Newcastle victory though Conor Beasley's claim is a plus.
