      Verdict

      Ginbar went close at Chester on his debut but failed to land the odds in a novices’ event at Nottingham last time. Awsaaf also returned a disappointing favourite last time having won at Wolverhampton before that but VISCOUNT LOFTUS had a better excuse on his latest start when failing to figure in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Ascot. He’ll be more at home in this grade having made a winning start at Yarmouth earlier and gets the vote. Loulin is related to a host of winners and preferred to Showmethedough.
