Caj showed plenty of promise on his debut and should figure in the finish, however there are a couple of very interesting newcomers in The Dandy Fox, Voodoo Moon and Startlini and we will plump for the last named. Bryan Smart's filly is a well bred daughter of Bertolini and is related to numerous winners. The market will be a major guide, and if she is prominent in the betting she could be the one to oblige. Mark Johnston rarely leaves Pontefract without a winner and Voodoo Man has the right pedigree . She is a daughter of Efisio, but cost just 8, 500 guineas. Mark does have an eye for a bargain though and once again the betting should give clues. The Dandy Fox is from a yard that doe shave decent early juveniles and could take a hand in the finish. Caj makes a quick return to the track following a fifth placing behind Just Joey at Warwick last week and looks the pick of the experienced runners. All in all a race to be cautious, but if supported in the ring, Startolini could be the best option.
