An open contest where Cripsey Brook is taken to resume winning ways, with Heathyards Pride, La Estrella, and McEldowney others who can get involved. The selection is a course and distance winner who acts on this ground. He has been showing some solid enough form of late and has dropped to a more attractive mark so is taken to score. Heathyards Pride is another c&d scorer. Reg Hollinshead's charge returns to the turf after a lengthy spell confined to all weather activity, but if the change is for the better then he won't be far away off a fair mark. La Estrella has been going well enugh in defeat to suggest that he can be in the shake up here over a trip he specialises at, while top weight McEldowney takes a drop in class here and acts on any ground with good in the description. Mark Johnston should have him fit enough to perform, so expect a big run, but our preference is just for Cripsey Brook.
