In depth

Verdict

Greyfriars Drummer is improving with racing and enjoys a fitness edge over his main rivals, having only just failed to shed his maiden tag at Kempton. However, there are some very interesting types in opposition none more so than CIRCUS ACT, representing the Al Zarooni yard which has started the campaign in blazing form. The Cape Cross colt was well backed on his sole juvenile start before tiring in heavy ground but should be ideally suited by these quicker conditions. Around The Clock showed real promise too on his only start last year at Lingfield and rates the prime threat, while Matilda's Waltz is a possible if forgiven a poor follow-up run after her promising Newmarket debut last term.
