Normandy Barriere made a successful return to action last year at Redcar then completed a double at this meeting before running very well when stepped up to better company. He'd be a big threat if ready for action but it's almost two years since Barkston Ash won a race though he'd be a big threat if the going turns soft. MIME DANCE finished a long way behind the latter at Ripon a couple of weeks ago but the heavy ground was against him. That was his first start for David O'Meara and now, back on quicker going and dropped to his lowest mark since 2014, he can go well at a big price here. The stable also run Eternitys Gate, whose best run last season came on this track, while Pennine Warrior is 1lb lower than his last victory at Hamilton in June despite several decent efforts. Ambitious Icarus ran a bit better at Leicester on Saturday and can get into the action.
