Verdict

Not much form to go at in a strong looking conditions race but having run well in a novice contest last time MY SON MAX gets the nod in favour of Twist Of Silver and Mayhab. The pick is one of Richard Hannon's raft of debut juvenile winners and followed that opening gambit by finding just one too good in a Novice Stakes. That looks the strongest form here and of course the stable is still on form. Twist Of Silver was an very impressive winner on his first run but having only beat two rivals home we are not sure of the value of that form. Mayhab stepped up markedly on his debut run to score last time and there's no reason to suggest he won't improve again. Likewise Galtymore Lad has progressed in three runs and once again more can be forthcoming while Clarke Land has a winning debut to build on and could feature. An intriguing contest but My Son Max sets the standard.
