Kala Brandy is regarded as a real staying type and this is her minimum trip but conditions are in her favour as is the presence of Ruby Walsh in the saddle. Elusive Ivy has yet to race beyond the minimum but she's always looked a likely stayer and has won a bumper on heavy going. Blazing West completed a double over the minimum before appearing to find the weight rise and testing ground beyond her at Fairyhouse, though she has run well over this distance previously. INDIAN FAIRY (NAP) easily landed a 2m2f handicap on heavy ground at Clonmel in November then only just failed to defy a 9lb rise in the weights at Fairyhouse. She couldn't take advantage of a lenient mark over timber last time but, back over fences, looks the one to be on. Princess Lir is bred for chasing and, though still a maiden over timber, she ran well on several occasions and this should be more to her liking.
