Champoleon had looked a certain future winner over hurdles before a poor effort at Fairyhouse where his jumping let him down. Winning point-to-pointer Dr Patmassini has probably been racing over trips too short and should do better but OFFICER CADET looks the one to be on. Gordon Elliott's charge, a winning bumper on fast ground, may have found the going too sticky at Downpatrick but still produced his best run over timber and this should prove within his capabilities. Barnahash Rose has won between the flags and landed a bumper at Roscommon in July. She hasn't run since a promising debut over timber in August but has to be considered on that sort of form though Davids Jewel could provide the main threat after his surprise narrow defeat by Bitsandpieces at Tipperary.
