Nichols Canyon came from off a scorching pace in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham to grab the rails on the run-in and just see off LIL ROCKERFELLER, who looked the likely winner at the last and is taken to go one better on a track that will play to his strengths. Short-priced favourite Unowhatimeanharry couldn't find the necessary extra after holding every chance while Snow Falcon and Clondaw Warrior faded from the last and Shaneshill pulled up. The latter fell at the last in this a year ago when looking a possible winner and left the way clear for One Track Mind, who has subsequently had two runs over fences without showing any inclination to jump them. He's been saved for this and looks a fair each-way bet in a tight contest. Sutton Place has gone from strength to strength but this will be his first start at the highest level and beyond 2m5f though he stayed on very strongly to beat stable companion De Plotting Shed over that trip at Navan last time.
