Verdict

Thegreatjohnbrowne once looked a very smart prospect but has shown nothing for some time and though Old Supporter is consistent enough he keeps going up in the weights without winning. However, he comfortably holds Baby Whizz on their run at Killarney in July when the latter just prevailed but is much worse off at the weights. Close Review won a handicap here in June but then finished a long way behind KILMURRY KID (NAP) at Wexford and it's the latter, who returned to winning ways at Tramore earlier this month, who can make his stamina count and take this. Carlanstown, six times a winner between the flags, is still looking for his first victory under Rules but can't go much lower in the weights and should make the frame.
