In depth

Verdict

Official ratings suggest this is a match between Kingswinford and ELSPETH'S BOY with preference for the latter, who is having his first start for new connections and makes his debut at this level. He had some decent form in handicaps for William Haggas and Paul Hanagan's presence in the saddle is a bonus. Kingswinford won twice at Chester in the summer and has continued in good form. It will be a surprise if he's not involved in the finish while Master Of Dance looks the best alternative as he's been in very good form recently including twice on Polytrack at Wolverhampton. The maiden American Lover has run well here in the past and may prove best of the outsiders.
