CD Europe stands out at the weights here and is the selection ahead of Lord Conyers, Banjo Bay and Green Pirate. The selection has pleny in hand on official ratings as this race is framed, and has won off higher marks than today's 80. Yet to score over seven furlongs, with so much in hand here he could have his best chance on ground that he will enjoy, and he gets the vote. Lord Conyers has the assistance of Jamie Spencer from the saddle, but is 5lb higher than his most recent win, although he has scored over c&d. He is not one to rely on though and will probably find a couple too good here. Banjo Bay is badly off at the weights with the selection, but does at least come from a yard in form and have winning form over this trip on decent ground, so cannot be discounted in a very poor race. Of the others, Green Pirate has found winning particularly difficult since landing a Wolverhampton maiden 16 months ago, but will be suited by the ground and is not without a squeak back over this trip. But CD Europe looks the classiest of a poor bunch and that can pay dividends.
