In depth

Verdict

Greek Secret has fair claims in an open handicap, Obe One should go well and Mujma is another of interest. The selection's last success came over this course and distance in the autumn and he has now slipped to a mark some 4lbs lower. He's been performing creditably in the main this season and may be ready to strike. Obe One is another that has been running well of late and he wasn't beaten far behind Ryedane at Thirsk last time. Slade O'Hara, who has enjoyed plenty of success for the yard this term, takes the ride for the first time and he could make a bold bid to end his lengthy losing streak. On the subject of jockeys, John Egan has been very much the man to follow when riding for Stuart Parr with his strike rate better than one in four. Mujma shaped a little better last time than of late and connections may be close to finding the key to him. A host of other horses could be mentioned in dispatches but Greek Secret is a pretty reliable sort who should, at least, give us a run for our money.
