    Verdict

Free Zone has no easy task on paper but David O’Meara has proved a past master in rejuvenating others castoffs and the seven-year-old has an obvious chance of securing a hat-trick despite taking an 11lb rise up the handicap. He may, however, find it difficult to give lumps of weight away to MAPPIN TIME. Tim Easterby’s eight-year-old has never quite been able to live up to his exploits on artificial surfaces, but he gave a hint that his turn wasn’t that far away at Beverley. Desert Ace is another to have tumbled down the weights but Explain remains 5lb higher than when winning well at Thirsk in May. One Boy obliged on his first start at Redcar and the visor is tried in an effort to rediscover the winning habit.
