In depth

Verdict

Double Banded took adavantage of a lenient mark last time out and can continue the winning ways over this longer trip, Casual Affair and Treason Trial could be the main dangers. John Dunlop's charge was staying on stoutly in that twelve furlong event at Newcastle and the extra couple of furlongs could bring out more improvement. Casual Affair also hit winning form last time out when comfortably landing an apprentice handicap at York. He has more to do here but ground and trip are ideal. Treason Trial never got in a blow over two miles at Goodwood last time out and will appreciate this drop back to fourteen furlongs. Meanwhile Let It Be cannot easily be discounted following his recent success. A pretty modest affair and Double Banded could be up to landing the spoils.
