Verdict

Plenty of recent winners here but maybe the course and distance winner Acomb is the one to side with. Others with chances include Pop Up Again, Flying Edge and Helderberg. This trip suits the selection well and, despite being six pounds higher than for his most recent win, he remains open to some improvement. Pop Up Again won well at at Newcastle five days ago and connections are looking to strike while the iron is hot under a six-pound penalty, while Helderberg has been knocking at the door and Kevin Darley has been booked to ride. Flying Edge has been going well and is just two pounds higher than for his Catterick win the time before last. Of the others, Relative Hero has progressed from winning a seller but faces his toughest test to date. Kelsea's Kolby makes a quick reappearance after winning a Leicester seller and Megan's Magic drops back in trip, which may not suit here. Atheer is back to just a pound higher than his winning mark in June but a first-time visor worked the oracle there. Overall, then, we'll stick with Acomb.
