Verdict

Sam's Secret landed a similar contest in good style last time and looks set to follow up, Wiltshire and Yo Pedro could provide most danger. Alan Swinbank has his string in top form and Sam's Secret held on gamely to land that mile event at Newcastle. It seemed as though that trip was just testing his stamina and the drop back to seven should suit. Wiltshire has a bit to find on official ratings but has been in good form this season and should be capable of reaching the frame. Yo Pedro has shown a glimmer of form this season and drops to a seller for the first time. He is quite well treated for this contest and should be involved in the finish. Denton Hawk looks the pick of the three-year-olds, but Sam's Secret does appear to have the best recent form on show and he gets the vote.
