Verdict

A very competive field line up for this seven furlong handicap where Zilch is a speculative selection to beat Marshman and San Antonio. This son of Zilzal hasn't seen a racecourse since May when well beaten behind Fire Up The Band. That was his only outing this season so he has obviously had training problems. However on his best form in group company and top handicaps in previous seasons he could be thrown in at the weights and may spring a surprise. Top weight Marshman will be a big danger following his recent victory over Raphael at Musselburgh, and San Antonio could run well if recapturing his spring form. But although Michael Bells yard is having a quiet time at present Zilch could represent decent value in an open looking affair.
