        Verdict

        There is plenty to recommend Mel Brittain's SELDOM who can get the better of Do The Deal and Drum Dragon. The selection went close in a competitive maiden at Thirsk on his debut behind Paddy Bear. He catches the eye on breeding and from a good high draw he should be hard to stop if he continues his progress. Do The Deal has run well on both her starts so far and this quicker ground should suit today so she could be capable of even better. Drum Dragon was reported to have been unsuited by the quick ground last time at Pontefract and she is hard to back with confidence off the back of that below-par effort. She would have claims on the pick of her form but she may be seen at her best when she goes handicapping. Minturno has the worst of the draw and he will need to improve if he is to take this. We are therefore happy to stick with Seldom as the selection.
