Not a great maiden by the standards of the track and there shouldn't be too many get into it, with preference for Double Doors over Easterly Breeze, with March Mate and Allaire others considered. Double Doors is sent north by John Gosden, who has had one winner from just two previous runners here this season, so has to be taken seriously. The colt steps up in trip from a mile and that should enable him to improve enough on his already solid form to score. Easterly Breeze was tried over 10f at newbury last time and performed with credit. The Green Desert colt will enjoy this surface more and looks booked to go close. March Mate was thrashed last time over a mile but there is plenty of stamina on his dam's side and this trip may elicit some improvement, while Allaire looks to be a bit of a madam and we won't find out her true potential until she can handle proceedings more comfortably, so we will take Double Doors to land this.
