In depth

Verdict

Some very interesting newcomers here including John Gosden's Sakhee colt Agiaal, who is out of the 1000 Guineas winner Lahan. Michael Bell's Azurinta is a daughter of Azamour and a half-sister to seven winners and she's likely to know her job as will Mark Johnston's Camporosso, though he'll probably do better over further. The Middleham handler has a more obvious chance with CROWN COUNSEL, who has been caught in the closing stages on his last two visits to Deauville's all-weather track and can take this with fitness guaranteed. King Of The Celts, Yojimbo and Tarantella Lady all did enough in their first season to suggest they will be winning soon while unexposed types such as Calaf and Pintrada are others to consider in a race that should produce future winners.
