        Verdict

        Claramara may be the pick of the two Mark Johnston fillies, though will probably need further. Clubbable was a fair third on debut at Pontefract and then only beaten a short-head at Hamilton so goes on the short-list while Alaskan Beauty steps up a furlong after her third here last month. ELATION (NAP) was a real eye-catcher at Newbury as she was slowly away and then met trouble in-running before staying on strongly in the closing stages. With better luck today, she should open her account before going on to better things. Lady Anjorica has been second twice, including here two runs ago, and been quite highly tried but is starting to look a little exposed.
