      Verdict

      Maven has never won off a mark this high and failed to make any impression on her reappearance at Pontefract, though should strip fitter here. It's more than a year since Liberty Red last ran on the Flat and he disappointed over hurdles during the winter but Moccasin won at Wetherby last month and should make a bold bid to defy his penalty. SOPHISTICATED HEIR still looks fairly handicapped after his second at Pontefract and is taken to go one better as Spes Nostra is still 9lb higher than for his last win on Turf, though Kempton fifth Taqneen is capable of better.
