In depth

Verdict

Four of these are course and distance winners though not Buccaneers Vault, who was sent to the Curragh last time and finished a very good third after landing a minor handicap at Thirsk. Flying Pursuit generally races in better company and likes it around here. He has the form to win this but has never won on fast going so would need plenty of rain if he's to get involved. Dubai One has won five times on the all-weather but has only raced twice on Turf. He ran quite well at Chelmsford after returning from Dubai and looks a threat. Reputation won a lower-grade handicap here in May and is 4lb higher but PIPERS NOTE (NAP) is taken to bounce back from a losing run. Ruth Carr's charge finished second in a course and distance handicap in May, when Gin In The Inn was just behind, and has been dropped 5lb to a mark he's capable of winning from.
