In depth

Verdict

Roger Charlton has a good record with his Ripon raiders so Ski Jump looks an obvious choice, especially with the benefit of a winning return at Leicester on his handicap debut two weeks ago. A rise in the weights is not expected to stop him following up at the expense of Greta d¿Argent whose stable are out of sorts, and Emerging Star who was ridden by Jamie Spencer to finish an eyecatching third at the last meeting here. He of course switches to Ski Jump which is yet another hint to his claims. Of the rest, Border Tale makes most appeal. Michael Bell¿s charge needed the run at Musselburgh despite being fancied and will be fitter now.
