      Verdict

A competitive maiden opens the card and from a shortlist of SHARP ECLIPSE, Kylladdie and Yeadon we will side with Sharp Eclipse. The selection hails from a yard in good form and he showed improved form last time out when he finished third behind Tres Coronas at Newcastle over 5f. The key to his chance today is the extra furlong which should suit and from the plum draw he looks the one they all have to beat. Kylladdie was only a cheap purchase but he showed up well on his debut at Haydock last weekend and if he can build on that then he would have to be of interest. However, his high draw is a cause for concern. Yeadon is an interesting newcomer from a yard who are going well at present and although he is bred to be better over further in time, he is certainly one to note in the market. David Nicholls does well with his sprinters so Bluie is worth consideration, although he will need to significantly improve on his debut run if he is to make his mark today. This looks a good opportunity for Sharp Eclipse who should prove tough to beat.
