    Verdict

Hilltime sets the standard for this juvenile event and could well be the one to beat having run well here on his debut a fortnight ago. After showing plenty of pace, Hilltime weakened in the closing stages but showed enough to suggest he'll go well here. The booking of Jamie Spencer looks significant and the hint should be taken. Mark Johnston saddles newcomer Outeast and is sure to be well prepared and likely to give Hilltime most to do. Obe One looked green as grass on his first outing at Newcastle and may still need time, but Big Pee Tee is worth noting in the market being from a shrewd yard and having cost 19,000 guineas as a yearling and Happy Camper (by Pennekamp) is bred to win a race or two..
