Verdict

The three newcomers all command respect as they hail from high-quality yards with plenty of juvenile ammunition at their disposal and the shape of the market should prove informative to would-be supporters. Roossey will be popular as a Newmarket raider from a top yard with the form in the book to land an ordinary northern maiden but GAUDY is taken to have his measure. A useful fourth on his York debut, beaten just three lengths, the form has been pleasingly vindicated by the runner-up going on to land his own maiden on the Knavesmire and the third finishing second to a decent sort last weekend. Kevin Ryan's charge is sure to benefit from his initial experience and receives the vote in an interesting opener.
