Verdict

AZOR AHAI showed good progress when runner-up on his latest start at Pontefract and that’s stronger form than Sir Victor’s debut effort at Bath. His experience should stand Mick Channon’s colt in good stead up against the newcomers. Of those, Mark Johnston’s Desert Lantern is the first foal of a Group 2 winner and preferred to both Dark Havana and Coolagh Magic, a half-brother to a 6f winner.
