Verdict

Yorkshire Pudding and Don Valentino meet on identical terms after finishing second and third in a Redcar maiden over this trip in May, when the pair were separated by a nose. The former has not been seen since but the O'Meara gelding has gone on to run another sound race when a close second at Hamilton, albeit on soft ground. There is literally nothing to choose between the pair so let's row in with EQUIANO SPRINGS. The Tate gelding showed improved form on reappearance when a fair fourth in a Pontefract maiden when not getting the clearest of runs and is expected to progress again. Melrose Girl showed some ability on her Redcar debut over this trip and merits respect.
