In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston sets backers a poser here by saddling two runners with the newcomer Movethegoalposts marginally preferred to Dubai's Touch and Ghost Dancer rated the best of the remainder. The selection makes plenty of appeal on pedigree being a Dr Fong half-brother to a couple of sprint winners and while the stable is not known for their great success with first time out juveniles, he may be worth chancing in what looks a poor contest. Brian Smart's Silver Appraisal showed only a modicum of ability on her debut, while Oh Gracious Me represents a yard that can produce a two-year-old to win first time out and he may be worth watching in the market. Luca Cumani's Ghost Dancer showed signs of ability on his debut and has to be of interest along with Mark Johnston's Dubai's Touch but preference is for the latter's stablemate Movethegoalposts.
