Verdict

Langford will be a popular choice to reverse Doncaster form with Mystic Man here, but we will side with the latter to hold off his rival again, with Nevada Desert and Unicorn Reward others to consider. Mystic Man produced a sustained finish to beat Langford two-and-a-half lengths at Town Moor but is 5lb worse off here. Nevertheless, that return to form did not look a flash in the pan, and he can again go very well. He is due to go up another 5lb soon after being reassessed, so he is worth following again here. Langford clearly won't be far away and you could do worse than having a saver. Also due to go up 1lb after this, he looks well treated and connections have every reason to feel that this could be their night, though we suspect they may well be bridesmaid again. Nevada Desert is 5lb higher than his last win, which was on good to firm at Beverley 11 month ago. He still looks in thr grip of the handicapper, but should appreciate the drop back in trip and can be involved, and the same can be said of Unicorn Reward, who is back on a mark he is capable of winning from, runs over his optimum trip and can make the frame. For the winner though, we return to Mystic Man.
